UK brokerage group CEO joins RICS as Global Residential Director

April 12, 2012

Peter Bolton KingThe Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has named Peter Bolton King, former chief executive of the National Federation of Property Professionals (NFoPP), as Global Residential Director. Bolton King will work other professional group teams to further increase the RICS presence in the residential sector of the property profession, and promote the role of RICS Residential globally. He will replace the out-going group director David Dalby, who will retire in July.

Bolton King served for 12 years on ICREA’s Board representing the UK brokerage group, the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA). He served as Chair of the ICREA Board for 18 months, concluding in 2010. In his capacity with both NAEA and ICREA, Bolton King represented the UK property industry and professional property organizations on the international stage. He brings extensive experience in the residential and valuation sectors and broad knowledge of overseas markets to his position with RICS.

"It is with very mixed feelings that I stand down from nearly nine years on the ICREA board,” says Bolton King. Whilst my new job is very exciting, I will miss being part of a great organisation that continues to play a vital role in international real estate business. Thank you to everyone in so many countries who have supported and helped both me and the ICREA vision."

“We are certainly sorry to lose Peter from the ICREA Board, but are pleased to know the international property community will continue to benefit from his vision and energy,” said Howard Morley, ICREA Board Chair. “We will watch with interest as he moves into new fields and hope that our paths will cross again. On behalf of the ICREA Board, we wish him the best in this new endeavor.”

Bolton King will begin in his new role at RICS on April 25.
