Secovi offers best practices manual for investors

Secovi-SP (Housing Union) in Brazil has released an English language version of the “Best Practices Handbook for the Development for Hospitality Properties for Private Real Estate Investors.” The English version was created to meet the needs of international operators working in Brazil who need to know the rules in order to better assess the condo-hotel market before making investment decisions.
The publication provides references and parameters for structuring and organization of a condo-hotel project. It shows the importance of the responsibility of each party involved in this project from the developer to marketing companies responsible for sales. According to Calfat Caio, vice president of real estate and rental affairs of Secovi-SP, there have been 10,000 downloads of publication in Portuguese.
The Manual was designed in partnership with the Board of Flats entity with direct collaboration of the ABIH (Brazilian Association of the Hotel Industry), FOBH (Operators Forum Hotelier of Brazil), Brazil Adit (Association for Real Estate and Tourism Development of Brazil) and Fhoresp (Federation of Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Similar State of São Paulo).
