French association leadership changes hands

Jean-Francois Buet officially took assumed the role of president of the French real estate association FNAIM
during the 66th FNAIM Congress and International Convention held in Paris last week. Outgoing president René Pallincourt was honored for his 12 years of service as FNAIM president, during which time the association's international committee was formed.
Industry and government leaders paid tribute to Pallincourt’s term of service and accomplishments while welcoming in Buet in front of more than 2,000 FNAIM members. Recognition was also paid to Pallincourt by a group of international meeting delegates, led by Farook Mahmood, a past-president and founding member of the National Association of Realtors - India
The two-day conference program theme was “Europe Meets the World in Paris,” and included an international convention and networking village. The convention was attended by more than 100 delegates from 30+ countries. Special recognition was paid to representatives from the Asian Real Estate Association of America
(AREAA). FNAIM signed a cooperative agreement with AREAA and with AMPI, the Mexican Association of Real Estate Agents
The FNAIM program included a TRC (Transnational Referral, Certified) program where 45 FNAIM agents were certified in cross-border transactions. ICREA was represented at the event by Board chairman Georges Pahud of the Canadian Real Estate Association
and CEO Thijs Stoffer.
