ICREA Board recognizes long service of AMPI representative
December 05, 2012
In November 2012, César Paredes, completed his third, full three-year term as a member of the board of the International Consortium of Real Estate Associations (ICREA), representing the Mexican Real Estate Professionals Association (AMPI)
. Paredes served on the board during its formation year in 2001, and then was elected to the board for a full term in 2002. He served from 2002 to 2004 and was then reelected for two terms, beginning in 2007 and completing his service in 2012.
“César’s service to ICREA has been secondary to none,” says Thijs Stoffer, ICREA CEO. “In the early years he was instrumental in helping us form alliances with other Latin real estate associations.”
“His understanding of the group’s history and founding objectives have allowed him to bring an important and unique perspective to the Board’s strategic decision making,” continued Stoffer. “His presence will be greatly missed.”
Over the years, Paredes has represented ICREA at numerous events – not only in Mexico but also in the US and Brazil.
Paredes is president and co-owner of Global Commercial & Investment Real Estate Corporation with offices in Mexico City and Monterrey, Mexico. In 1998 he served as president of AMPI and is a permanent member of its national board of advisors. He has been active in the real estate industry for more than 25 years and is a frequent industry speaker at meeting in the US, Canada, Brazil and Mexico.
AMPI will continue to be represented on the board with the election of Sergio Gómez Rábago during the 2012 Plenary, held in Orlando in mid-November.
