US broker installed as FIABCI World President

Judy Shenefield was installed as World President for FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation, during an official ceremony at the 63rd FIABCI World Congress, held in St. Petersburg, Russia in May. Ms. Shenefield is an associate broker with Long & Foster Real Estate in the metro Washington, DC area and has an extensive background in the global real estate industry representing buyers and sellers around the world.
She has been an active member of FIABCI for more 15 years, serving in numerous leadership positions within the organization. She holds ICREA’s
Transnational Referral Certified (TRC) professional certification. Elected as FIABCI World President-Elect was Mr. Flávio Gonzaga Nunes from Brazil.
Ms. Shenefield plans to build upon the work of Immediate Past President Alexander Romanenko to strengthen and support the organization as well as FIABCI membership programs, which add value and enhance a member’s ability to build their international presence and conduct business on a global basis.
“I am committed to enhancing FIABCI’s tangible member services, including the launch of a premier online education platform, and strengthening our World Councils,” said Shenefield. “By working together, we can enhance FIABCI’s leadership position and make a significant contribution to the global real estate community.”
ICREA and FIABCI have a memorandum of understanding whereby they work to cooperate in areas of mutual interest.
