
Welcome to the Mexican Association of Real Estate Agents
AMPI is the largest real estate association in Mexico, founded in 1956 in Mexico City, with 60 regional boards throughout all of the country. Today AMPI has more than 1,500 broker members who in turn represent about 10,000 practitioners through the country. AMPI members include: Appraisers, Developers, Counselors and Brokers all of whom subscribe to the AMPI bylaws Code of Ethics.
AMPI is governed by the National Board of Directors, which elects a National President for a one-year term. AMPI works together with Federal, State and Municipal authorities, proposing new laws and amendments to existing laws and regulations directly related to the Real Estate activity.
AMPI represent its members in a variety of diverse private and public organizations. AMPI has a practitioners´ Registry at the Mexican Consumer Protection Agency and uses authorized contracts. Since the 1980s AMPI been strongly advocating for a National Real License and Regulation law but it does not yet exist. Other major initiatives and services of the organization include advocacy, training, public relations, education and conventions and meetings.
Currently AMPI is working in the establishment of a real estate training, research and statistics Center, The Centro de Capacitación, Investigación y Estadística (CCIE).
AMPI is a founding member of the International Consortium of Real Estate Associations (ICREA).
