Colegio De Martilleros y Corredores Públicos de San Isidro
Colegio de Martilleros y Corredores Públicos de San Isidro was formed on September 18, 1965 to raise the standards of the real estate profession in Argentina. The Colegio represents approximately 1,200 members from the metropolitan regional area of Buenos Aires and has representations in other major cities in the country. Its members specialize in residential, commercial and agricultural properties and also conduct valuations. Under a national umbrella, the Colegio represents 20,000 industry professionals.
The Colegio was established after Province Legislature conferred self-regulatory rights and control of the license granting process to a group of professionals. It was subsequently organized into 18 Judicial Departments, each of which plays a key role in the legal, economic and social fabric of their community. In 2000, a public law was passed creating a college level degree for the auctioneer and real estate-related professions. The Colegio, already active in training and education, opened a new education center to offers real estate education within the highest standards of academic excellence. Students graduate with a diploma recognized nationwide for the quality of the instruction, the academic achievements of its faculty and the demanding curriculum.
The Colegio has organized and hosted highly successful conferences. Members are active in various national and international industry groups, including ICREA, CIMECH, SOM and FIABCI. SOM is the country's leading property advertising site (Multiple Listing Service) and has a strong international presence.
